About Paschen Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment works best when it is planned well and started at the right time. At Paschen Orthodontics, we assess each patient’s growth, bite development, airway concerns, and long-term function before recommending treatment. Our approach focuses on prevention as much as correction. We look closely at how malocclusion can affect health, comfort, and stability.
Founded by Dr. Mark D. Paschen in the 1980s, Paschen Orthodontics grew from a belief that high-quality orthodontic care can change lives. That philosophy continues today under the leadership of Dr. Dani Meirick-Imerman. Paschen Orthodontics also proudly partners with Dental Associates of Baraboo. We are co-located and locally owned with a rich legacy of patient-centered care since 1960. It’s a partnership that allows us to provide continuity of care and convenience for our patients who may want to combine orthodontic and general dentistry appointments.
Meet Dr. Dani Meirick-Imerman
Dr. Meirick-Imerman’s passion for dentistry evolved from her own orthodontic treatment experience. Many people avoid the dentist due to difficult childhood experiences in the dental office, but she says she became a dentist because of her early experiences. As a child, she suffered from severe dental crowding, which led to multiple dental visits, including baby tooth extractions, permanent tooth removal, and eventually orthodontic treatment. She remembers liking the dentist’s office and how proud she felt about her smile after her orthodontic treatment was complete. As Dani got older, she liked science, art, and was conscious about health. Dentistry seemed like a career where she could combine her own personal experiences with her interest in helping people.
Dani studied at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where she ran track and played soccer. After that, she attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry to earn her dental credentials. A Hawkeye turned Badger, she practiced in downtown Madison for four years prior to joining her husband, Dr. Reid Imerman, at Dental Associates of Baraboo and Paschen Orthodontics in 2020.
Dr. Meirick-Imerman is a member of:
- American Orthodontic Society (AOS)
- American Dental Association
- Sauk-Juneau-Adams Dental Society
- Wisconsin Dental Association
She is also an Invisalign Certified Provider and has completed hundreds of continuing education hours focused on orthodontic care through the American Orthodontics Society and the Academy of General Practioner Orthodontics. This includes courses on airway focused pediatric orthodontic care.
Dr. Meirick-Imerman loves to provide orthodontic care in a general practice setting because it allows her to stay in touch with the preventive dental services. She believes they are so important for dental health, and it also gives her an opportunity to transform smiles.
Dani and her husband have two kids, Isla and Ivan, who she says have given her a whole new perspective on early dental care. They inspire her to help kids achieve good dental habits early on. She has a strong interest in screening for problems related to airway, myofunction, and jaw development.
When she’s not busy at the office, Dr. Meirick-Imerman loves spending time outdoors, running, traveling, reading, and cooking.
